Film Screenings & Festivals

Monthly curated screenings bring together classics, world cinema, and independent films, offering audiences a rich cinematic experience throughout the year. The Annual Chitralekha Film Festival in Thiruvananthapuram, along with its district-level extensions, further celebrates diverse voices in filmmaking. The initiative also presents thematic showcases focusing on the environment, women’s rights, migration, and social justice, highlighting urgent global conversations. In addition, international retrospectives are organized in collaboration with festivals abroad, creating cultural exchange and exposure to global cinema. To encourage new talent, competitions and awards are conducted for emerging filmmakers, nurturing the next generation of storytellers.
